Cherokee Bowie Knife with Sheath*This ca. 1830 knife is one of the earliest Bowies. This popular style appears in some of the premier collections as well as in early paintings, including that of the famous Cherokee chief, "Tah-Chee", where it is prominently shown. The heavy, 8-1/2" blade is a full 3/16" thick with nice Rosewood slab grips featuring a German silver inlaid plate, pins and wrapped pommel. Originally produced by Gravely & Weeks in Sheffield, England in this massive, 14-1/4" overall length. The ornately fringed leather scabbard is patterned after the original. $59.99 each
