1790 English Tobacco Box

Called 'Brighton Buns' after the British pastry, which they resemble when closed, these candle holders were a standard travel accessory from pre-Revolutionary days up through the Civil War. They screw together into a compact unit that miraculously assembles into two attractive brass candle stands. They are 3-3/4" in diameter and stand 1-1/4" tall when assembled. Candles not included.
