This very early style brass trade bead is still made in the original method of forming the ends of a short brass tube to make it into a bead, giving it the characteristic, straight sided look. Very authentic for use on chokers, breastplates, cradles, blankets, dresses, war shirts, leggings, vests, etc. Natural brass finish, 5/16" diameter with large hole.

French Brass Beads- 7mm*
These are our most popular, heavy solid brass beads which are excellent for use in chokers, breastplates, bandoliers, purses, bags, and other projects. They are historically accurate reproductions of the beads offered by early traders and are also found used on capotes, pipebags, necklaces and more. Available in 4 different sizes, they feature large holes for easy stringing and look great when used with bone or buffalo horn hairpipe.

French Hollow Beads - Copper 4mm*
From the Bovis Bead line, these are the genuine French Brass and Copper beads traded to the American Indians by French traders since the early 1800's for use on chokers, breastplates, bandoliers and many other items of adornment. The Copper beads have not been on the market for the last 75 years, so we're happy to be able to bring you all these great, traditional beads. The latest in this line are the Nickel color beads which are great for modern items. Available in brass, nickel, or copper color.
