Having the right tool for the job makes a huge difference in tanning. Traditional TannersTM tools are designed specifically for brain tanning, and are widely used by experienced tanners. Dry Scraper: Designed similar to an 1800s Sioux scraper, the 115 degree angle prevents "chattering", while the full 2.5 lb. weight helps the tool do a lot of your work. Our high quality 01 tool steel blades (Rockwell 58 hardness) hold that super keen edge you need for pleasurable, efficient scraping.
